Why the camera isn't the culprit for the white iPhone 4's delay

Par lettreslibres :: 03/02/2011 à 8:40
Unless you have been out of the Internet in recent days, he would no doubt have heard of a special appearance by Woz at Engadget Hall on Sunday. As expected, a few websites ran with some quotes pulled from the interview - specifically, the highlight was Woz "confirm" that the white iPhone 4 was delayed due to questions of fact the camera. Well, I do not think this is the case at all. In fact, I'm sure there are many good reasons why Apple has been delaying the taste of his much-anticipated smartphone star, but the camera is not one of them. Head right past the break and everything is explained.

Update: Our man Woz has responded in the comments: He told me many things to make it clear that I know nothing of the reasons for Apple to reject anything ever. He told me that when I got my white iPhone I've tried 4 mounted flash photos and that, indeed, have problems. He talked about the evidence of pictures with flash as opposed to non-flash and flash photos comparison between my black and white iPhone. I do not remember saying that Apple was a "reason" rejected the parties, although I had read that. For the last part, which dealt with 0:55 in the video interview after the break, but now that Woz has spoken, could have been a joke at the time that was misconstrued by some websites. They tend to do that with Woz. Read on!

Palm 'Think Beyond' teaser shows off glimpses of...

Par lettreslibres :: 03/02/2011 à 8:39
HP and Palm are not shy about exaggerating event next week webOS large, and are following in that nod to our flight and CEO Leo Apotheker's comments with this teaser video "Think Outside." As it is, no doubt intended, we can not do much of the product of these brief flashes of conic curves, smart appliances, and what appears to be a charging connector - but we like to think it is a tablet, and People that are fundamentally very hopeful. In any case, let's see what Palm has for us next week - and if you can live up to all this buildup.

Palm 'Think Beyond' teaser shows off glimpses of... something (updated with longer video) Update: We just sent a longer version of the video, we have exchanged in the previous - which shows a camera that looks back and what is either a grid of the microphone or speaker. And it's just us, or is it looks pretty chubtastic or what? Palm Original video after the break. [Thanks, Rafael]

Verizon iPhone review

Par lettreslibres :: 03/02/2011 à 8:39
Verizon iPhone 4 is an interesting product for Engadget to revision. First, it is not exactly a new device (not noticeably outwards). From design to your CPU, RAM, and cost, even the iPhone is the same as AT & T model ... except for a small but important truth: having an inner radius of CDMA. The device is also somewhat difficult to review based on its software, as we have all been using (and even took a hard look at) IOS 4.2 for quite some time. So for us the task is to clarify the differences between these two devices and networks. Now that's a little easier because we are confident they have the same questions to us. What are called as? How are the data rates? This service is particularly better or different from AT & T? Most importantly, if you are currently a four frustrated iPhone owner, it makes sense to make the change? We will answer all questions (and more), so keep reading for a full review of the iPhone to Verizon 4!

Hulu CEO welcomes back The Daily Show & more from Viacom, lays out a battle plan for the future

Par lettreslibres :: 03/02/2011 à 8:38
The story revolves around Hulu has not been positive lately, with increased competition and rumors of a change in business model, but the last CEO Jason Kilar blog entry tells a different side of the history. First, after popular elections as The Daily Show and The Colbert Report jumped sharply in April has a new deal with Viacom, which is to bring the show back to Hulu and Hulu also from today, with episodes of programs current and the Jersey Shore and Tosh. 0 to appear 21 days after its release. Strictly for the subscribers, the episodes of the collection of Chappelle's show and others will display on Hulu Plus.

As for the future of the company, which he sees as capable of serving Hulu trends giving customers more convenient access video with less ads and more social media presence - a goal that may be behind, but you can leave content providers wondering how they are paid in this bright new world. To this end, announcing that the growth of advertising revenues Hulu as shown in the table after the break and increased the number of subscribers Hulu Plus with a promise to hit one million this year. While it is well behind Netflix's most recent count, which is taking a new shot at claiming the throne Hulu can afford to pay more for content and that studies should start signing deals for each user, per month base rather than fixed rates Netflix has negotiated so far. Give as complete a reading to get a better idea of where Jason's head is at (when not planning a career GTL, visit the PR after the break for details on that), we'll be busy watching the interview with Jon Stewart with Michael Steele.

Texas Hold em Games

Par lettreslibres :: 03/02/2011 à 8:33
First if you are tired, angry, drunk or your condition is something other than focused, sharp mind, DON'T play! You will loose money in time. Texas Hold 'Em poker game requires patience, sharp mind and focused eyes.

Now, keep in mind that every table has one or two very skilled players. You must pay attention to those players so find them. If you are a beginner in poker game do not look for a table of few players. You chances to win decreases and further more you are paying more blinds. Take a table like 10 seats for examble. I prefer 10 seat 0.5/1 or 0.25/0.50 no limit tables.

When playing at a table do not start aggressively. Just look around and watch your poker game buddies. Learn how they play and mark those players who are playing well, you will notice them in time. A good player does not play all the deals, in fact he/she folds about 90% of his/her cards and plays only with good hole cards. Focus on them and avoid playing against them unless you have a very good hand. You could use holdem odd calculator program like texas hold em if you are a learning to play. It calculates the odds having a good hand on river and suggests if you should bet, call, check or fold. You should not follow its suggestions blindly, use your own common sense but it gives you good guide anyway.

Now you are playing full. Look at players who play every deal and those players you think they bluff. But remember, play only with good hands. After you have learned to play well you can start learning to bluff time to time but bluffing is another story to tell so I'm not talking about it now because it requires skills also.

Good hole cards are starting from 8 or better. Fold everything else even if they suit. It is just not worth playing those cards. Exception: you have A and something else (under 8), then check or call but if you have K and the other card is below 8 then throw them away always. Not worth playing. If you have AA, AK or KK then always raise right at the beginning but keep in mind that you do not bet too small, the idea is to go on playing against one or two players. This way you have much better chance to beat your opponents.
